In November 2024, Cameron Shakeri took a meaningful step toward making a difference in his community by running a Thanksgiving Food Drive, benefitting the North Kitsap Fishline. With a strong commitment to helping people, Cameron joined forces with other small business owners to collect an impressive 220 pounds of food for families in need. Through this experience, he gained a deeper understanding of the challenges many people face; it’s not always obvious that many local individuals quietly endure hardships, including homelessness and food insecurity. It was eye-opening for him to see how much help is needed, even in a place that doesn’t show it as clearly as in the bigger cities. Cameron really enjoyed the experience and feeling inspired to keep giving back, he decided to organize a winter clothing drive collecting gently used or new clothing to provide further support to those in need.
If you’d like to join Cameron in his mission to make a difference, stay tuned for details about his upcoming clothing drive. Together, we can create a stronger, more compassionate community by supporting those who need it most. The winter clothing drive runs from January 13th – January 27th.
