From January 24th–25th, Jennifer Moretty will be participating in Kitsap CrossFit’s 10/50 Challenge to raise funds for Kitsap Cancer Services, an organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families throughout Kitsap County. The challenge is both physically demanding and deeply symbolic—participants row at maximum effort for 10 minutes, rest for 50 minutes, and repeat the cycle every hour for a full 24 hours. Each round represents endurance, resilience, and the collective strength it takes to face cancer, together as a community.
For Jennifer, it has incredibly deep meaning for her. She lost her mom and multiple family members to pancreatic cancer. “I’m dedicating every rowing shift to someone we’ve lost, someone still fighting, or someone whose courage inspires us all…. It’s more than rowing. It’s about showing up for people who don’t get to take a break from the fight.”
How You Can Get Involved:
- The Moretty Group is raising money to support Kitsap Cancer Services. You help reach their goal of $3000 by donating on their fundraiser page.
- Honor Someone You Love – if you’d like Jennifer to row in honor or memory of someone special to you, you may email her their name at jennifer@morettygroup.com, and she will carry them with her during the challenge.
- Register for the event – Registration includes a 10/50 hoodie, food, drinks and raffle prizes throughout the event, and celebratory donuts upon finishing. Cost is $180, registration closes January 11th.
Kitsap CrossFit will fund Kitsap Cancer Services with proceeds from the event.
