Michelle brings firsthand experience to the process of buying land and building a home, having spent the past five years constructing her own house. The decision to building her home fit her family’s needs, and she understands that every custom home project is unique—requiring careful coordination of contractors, lenders, and organizational decisions to keep everything on track. This is actually her second ground-up home development; her first was a manufactured home built on acreage. Navigating permitting and regulations is a challenge in itself, and Michelle’s education has equipped her to handle these challenges confidently. When advising clients interested in purchasing land, her primary focus is helping them understand the potential hurdles of building—from costs and land slopes to wetlands and critical feasibility factors like septic systems, water access, and power connections. Michelle encourages thorough feasibility studies to ensure clients are fully informed before moving forward. Her hands-on experience has deeply shaped her ability to guide clients smoothly through the land-buying and building process.
